Bonnie I. Gear age 82 of 722 – 25th St. No., Wisconsin Rapids, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Arborwood Lodge in Wisconsin Rapids.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa. Pastor Dennis Schwalenberg will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 – 11 AM. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.
Bonnie was born February 24, 1929 in Wisconsin Rapids to Clifford and Clydia (Stainbrook) Abbott. She married George Gear on October 5, 1951 in Wisconsin Rapids. Bonnie was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Riverview Hospital and Edgewater Haven Nursing Home for 15 years, retiring in 1985.
Her interests included camping, fishing, crossword puzzles and card games. She loved watching the Brewers and tending her garden. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.

She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Jim, Dale, Norman, and Dean Abbott and one sister, Jeanette Hughes.
