Larry was a Registered Nurse and worked for several Medical Facilities in the area as an RN, as a staff nurse, Nursing Supervisor and Director of Nursing throughout his career. Over the years, he was employed at Family Heritage, Edgewater Haven, Riverview Hospital and most recently Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
Larry was nick-named “Bob The Builder” because of his Mr. Fix- It capabilities. He loved creating flower gardens, was a staunch Packer backer, and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a devoted family man who loved celebrating sporting events and other milestones with his children and grandchildren. Fond memories include time spent with son John working their concession stands, and spending time with daddy’s girl, Jennifer. Most recently, he enjoyed a trip with Donna, the love of his life, in April to Louisiana to visit dear friends, Charley and Jane Newsome.
Larry is survived by his wife, Donna of Wisconsin Rapids, 2 children: John Trickle, Wisconsin Rapids and Jennifer (Randall) Hayes of Glendale Heights, IL; 4 grandchildren: Tyler Bradley Trickle, Shanice, Justice and Grey Hayes; brothers and sisters: Ethel Fuller, Raymond (Lila) Trickle, LeRoy (Betty) Trickle, Clara (Donald) Schiller, Margaret Trickle and David (Lynn) Trickle; brothers-in-law: Dan Franson and Glen (Pat) Franson. Friends may call at the Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home from 4-7 pm on Friday, August 19 and Saturday from 12 noon until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in Larry’s memory to your favorite charity.
Larry’s family would like to thank two very special friends, Edward (Kathy) Zappen and David (Kathy) Miller for all their love and support.
I will miss you, my best friend.
