Shirley Jean Getzloff went to her eternal home guided and held by loving angels on August 17, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Shirley married Gary Getzloff at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kellner, WI on September 24th, 1966. He survives. Also surviving are sons Kenneth (Marcia), Michael, and daughter Pamela Lila (Scott). Four loving granddaughters survive. They are Courtney Lila, Lauren Lila, Brianna Getzloff, and Caitlyn Getzloff.
Shirley was the President and CEO of the UW-Stevens Point Credit Union for twenty years. Following its merger with the University of Wisconsin Credit Union in 2006, she served as Senior Financial Specialist. Shirley was a member of the Wisconsin Credit Union League.
She received numerous honors in recognition of her talents throughout her career. Shirley was widely recognized for her caring devotion. Credit Union members often became friends.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kellner.
Shirley will be missed.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home on Sunday, August 21 in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will also be held on Monday, August 22 from 10-11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kellner, WI. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Lunch will then be served.
