Candidates sought to serve on chamber board

The Nominating Committee of the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce is seeking candidates for its board of directors. The Heart of Wisconsin is looking to recruit up to four new board members.

The chamber’s board of directors is infused with energy, enthusiasm and positive attitudes.  Focusing on members, the board of directors is driven by communication, professionalism, transparency and results-oriented decisions based upon creating maximum return on investment for the membership.

Any member in good standing of the chamber or one of its employees is eligible. Candidates with a background in finance/banking, small business, real estate or food/hospitality management are encouraged to apply for nomination.

Candidates serve three-year terms and directors may serve no more than two terms in a row. Directors are expected to attend board meetings, take part in discussions and debates on issues, attend chamber sponsored events and participate in chamber ambassador meetings.

Candidates will be reviewed by the nominating committee and a slate of nominees will be presented to the board of directors for approval.

The Heart of Wisconsin will continue to accept chamber board of director nominations throughout the year.
