Golf to celebrate cancer survivors, help local patients

Everyone is invited to the Celebrating Cancer Survivors golf outing on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Bull’s Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids.

The event consists of check-in and a tailgate lunch at 11 a.m., a noon shotgun start for the 18-hole, five-person golf outing (includes carts), and dinner and cash bar at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The cost is $75 per player. Non-golfers are invited to attend just the dinner for $25. Registration forms are available in the lobbies of Riverview Medical Center and UW Cancer Center Riverview, by visiting www.riverviewmedical.org and clicking on “Printable Forms,” or by calling UW Cancer Center Riverview at 715-421-7442. The deadline to register is Sept. 2. Hole sponsorships are available for $100 and use the same registration form.

Proceeds benefit UW Cancer Center Riverview’s Cancer Patient Fund. The fund assists patients of UW Cancer Center Riverview with treatment-related expenses, such as: medication co-pays, transportation expenses, durable medical equipment, medical supplies, nutritional supplies, oral care supplies, skin care supplies, and other unexpected miscellaneous expenses.
