Patrick F. Kopelke age 77 of 151 Dellwood Lane, Nekoosa, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held at a later date. Following his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.
Patrick was born June 14, 1934 in Port Edwards to Charles and Elsie (Martinson) Kopelke. He married Bonnie David on June 17, 1972 in Nekoosa. Patrick was a truck driver for AGA Gas Company for 23 years. He was previously employed by Nekoosa Papers, Inc. (Domtar) for 17 years and also for the US Postal Service for the city of Nekoosa.
Patrick loved baking, gardening, hunting, and watching his trees bloom every spring. For the past 11 years he enjoyed camping and fishing up north with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Kopelke of Nekoosa
4 children: Tammy Bortz (Darin Applebee) of Wis. Rapids
and her children Courtney Zaleski and Randi
and Mollie Bortz and her grandchildren, Rajeigh and
Javon Roach
Guy (Patty) Kopelke of Ogema and his children,
Megan Kopelke and Justin and Brian Hanlan and
his grandchildren, Kaedyn, Charlie, Payten, and
Caleigh
Greg (Donna) Kopelke of Wis. Rapids and their
family
Vonny (Mike) Rucker of Junction City and their
Family
1 daughter-in-law: Mary Kopelke and her family
1 sister Judy (Kenny) Knesting of Kellner

And many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Glen Kopelke and Max Patrick Kopelke and by his former wife, Yvonne Pagel.
