Ronald S. Shamal age 70 of 1510 – 21st Ave. So., Wisconsin Rapids, WI, formerly of Nekoosa, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Monday at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. Bill Beaton will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date at Spring Branch Cemetery in the town of Rome. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 – 11 AM.
Ron was born February 1, 1941 in Milwaukee to Frank and Jean (Mollett) Shamal. He married Sharon Renner on June 21, 1969 in Janesville. She died July 27, 1993.
Ron and his wife had owned and operated Ron and Sherri’s Bar in Nekoosa and the Sportsmen’s Bar in Wisconsin Rapids. He was also employed by Consolidated Papers for 19 years, retiring in 1979.
He is survived by: 3 children: Lynette (Curt) Heitzinger of Nekoosa

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and one daughter, Ronda Peotter.
