Obituary of Jolene C. Savage

Jolene C. Savage age 77 of 1055 Market St., Nekoosa, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (September 6th) at 1 PM. at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Entombment will be in the Forest Hill Mausoleum in Wisconsin Rapids. Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 AM. until 1 PM.

Jolene C. Savage

Jolene was born April 8, 1934 in Plainfield to Clarence and Nina (Reese) Banks. She married Vernon Savage, Sr. on August 25, 1951 in Nekoosa. He died March 21, 2004.

Jolene owned and operated Savage’s Cafe in Nekoosa for many years and was also previously employed by the Nekoosa Medical Center as a custodian. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and baking bread. Most of all for Jolene, her family came first and she loved the role of wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Randall (Janice) Savage of Wis. Rapids
Trudy Savage of Medford
Marla (Bill) Jirschele of Wis. Rapids
Pamela Savage of Nekoosa
15 grandchildren: Justin, Jason, Wendy, Greg, Trisha, DeAnna, Rita,
Travis, Valerie, Loretta, Melissa, Heather, Joseph,
Katrina, and Dylan.
25 great grandchildren
3 Great Great Grandchildren

1 sister: Dolly Blossfield of Nekoosa

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one grandson, Wade Savage, 9 brothers and sisters, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
