Crews continue to construction on U.S. Highway 10 transforming it into a four-lane divided highway between Marshfield and Stevens Point. The Department of Transportation would like to make the following updates known to motorists:
*White Oak Road to Brookside Road – the existing Highway 10 is open to one lane in each direction. Motorists should be alert for trucks crossing and slow moving vehicles.
*Brookside Road to Blenker Road – the existing Highway 10 is open to one lane in each direction however both shoulders are closed with a concrete barrier and will remain closed until completion.
*Blenker Road to Trestik Road – the existing Highway 10 is open to one lane in each direction. Highway N off of Highway 10 will be closed from Sept. 19 to Oct. 3 for reconstruction and no detour will be posted.
As always, the Department of Transportation urges motorists to slow down, use caution and stay alert when driving through construction zones. To avoid delays, take alternative routes and avoid peak travel times. For more traveler information, call 511 or visit www.511wi.gov.
