The former Margaret Krueger was born September 5, 1917 in Port Edwards to William and Mabel (Sparks) Krueger. She and her 10 brothers and sisters enjoyed their life and were a close family. Her parents owned and operated the Switch Tavern (now Switched) for many years.
She married Jacob Wolfe on June 6, 1942 in Nekoosa and they had two children, a son Timber Wolfe and daughter Wendy (Gary) Keuntjes both of Nekoosa. She had two grandchildren, Kirt Wolfe who was taken from us on September 16, 1989, and Tara Wolfe of Nekoosa, two great grandsons, Cole Fluno and Max Nelson both of Nekoosa.
Mom enjoyed her job as a housewife and especially as mother and grandmother. Mom was always the one who we could rely on, with our friends, for rides for wherever we wanted to go, and for her almost famous scrambled eggs and bacon which she fed to anyone and everyone.
Mom was tireless in her giving and taking care of others. She always was the first one to offer any kind of help and followed through with her offers. She gave herself freely to take care of her family, even as she grew older, taking care of her brothers and sisters and then her husband, as he became ill in later years. She was an inspiration to us all.
She had a deep belief in God and instilled that faith in us. She lived her life in what she believed, truth, honesty and to help those you can. She gave her love and her life to us openly and freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Elwood, Bobby, Billy, Edward, Gerald and Keith and sisters, Mabel, Mildred, Dorothy and Nina, her grandson, Kirt Wolfe, husband, Jacob Wolfe and daughter-in-law, Diana Wolfe.
“When we bury some we love, we must also bury a part of our heart. But we should not bemoan this loss. Our heart, perhaps, are all they can take with them.”
