Workshop for teachers, childcare providers Sept. 26

St. Lawrence Early Childhood Center invites teachers, childcare providers and after-school program providers to “Got Dirt?” training workshop Sept. 26.

“Got Dirt?”, a statewide program that trains participants how to start and maintain a youth garden, will holding their presentation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Participants will learn basic gardening techniques including indoor and winter gardening options. Funding and grant opportunities will also be discussed.

Classroom gardens provide an active learning environment with fun and creative applications to students’ regular curriculum.
