Obituary of Faye L. Hoats

Faye L. Hoats, age 76, of 9713 Beppler Road, Nekoosa died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa on Monday.. Memorials may be designated to Assumption High School or UW Riverview Cancer Center.

Faye was born January 28, 1935 in Stoughton, MA to William and Dorothy (Fielder) Legge. She served in the US Air Force for 3 ½ years. Faye was formerly employed as an administrative assistant for Becker and Kumm CPAS in Wisconsin Rapids, was a former vending machine company owner and was a secretary at West Point for basketball coach Bob Knight.

Faye was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Merritt Island, FL and of the National Bowling Congress. Her interests included collecting trains, painting, crocheting, baking famous chocolate chip cookies, traveling, computers and gaming. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and sports, spending time with her family and BINGO.

Lynda (Terry Reany) Kauth of Nekoosa
Two Step Sons John (Kathy) Kauth of Green Bay
Allan Kauth of Jefferson
Four Grandchildren Casey (Michele) Klein, Ryan Klein, Amy Klein,
And Tory Kauth (Keri Smeltzer)
Six Step Grandchildren Emily (Greg) Devillers, Mackenzie Kauth,
Sarah (Sean) Meyer, Sam (Kaitlin) Kauth,
Jenny Wells and Kevin Kauth
One Brother Wayne (Marilyn) Legge of West Bridgewater, MA
One Sister Maxine Legge of North Easton, MA
and many nieces and nephews.

Faye is also survived by her former husband Norman “Mike” Willis of Nekoosa and his son Roger (Pat) Willis, his grandchildren Buddy (Liz) Willis, Rusty Willis and Brea Sly, and by Mike’s Great grandson Calum.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hoats, her husband Robert Kauth, son Lloyd Kauth, parents, brothers Paul and Jack Legge and brother in law John Pires.

Faye’s family would like to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice for their great care and friendship.
