Raiders for a cure on Oct. 7

Put away your red for the next Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders home football game. A new color will adorn the crowd as the Raiders take on Stevens Point on Oct. 7. That’s because the team will be hosting “Raiders for a Cure,” their first annual “pink” game to raise cancer awareness and benefit UW Cancer Center Riverview.

Everyone is invited to join the team in helping find a cure for cancer by wearing a “Raiders for a Cure” t-shirt to the game. T-shirts may be purchased at the game for $10 while supplies last. The white t-shirts feature a black and pink “Raiders for a Cure” logo. All proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will benefit UW Cancer Center Riverview.

Kick off for the “pink” game will be at 7 p.m. at the South Wood County 2000 football field in Wisconsin Rapids.
