Margaret E. Stensberg age 91, formerly of the Nekoosa Retirement Community, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, October 15 from 10:30 -11:00 AM. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.
Margaret was born November 15, 1919 in Pittsville to August and Mary (Immerfall) Neuberger. She married Gerald Stensberg on October 23, 1943 in Nekoosa. He died January 29, 2006. Margaret was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked at Nekoosa Papers, Inc. (Domtar).
She is survived by: 2 sons: Michael (Terese) Stensberg of Lakeville, MN
Patrick Stensberg of Lake Stevens, WA
5 grandchildren: Kris (Shelly) Stensberg
Ryan (Jodi) Stensberg
Matthew (Rosaline) Stensberg
Erica (Jeff) Tune
Kevin Stensberg
5 great grandchildren: Nicolas, Margaret, Matthew, Randall and Erin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, Cyril and Edward Neuberger, one sister, Tillie Robinson, and daughter-in-law, Donna Stensberg.
