United Way day at McDonalds was a sucess

The 39th annual United Way Day at McDonald’s raised $13,000 on October 19, from 100 percent of the sales from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. were donated to United Way of Inner Wisconsin’s 2011 campaign. To date, United Way Day at McDonald’s has raised $334,421 since 1973.

“What an amazing event,” said Tari Jahns, CEO of United Way of Inner Wisconsin. “We’d like to thank everyone who came out to support our communities, and the staff at the Wisconsin Rapids McDonald’s restaurant. We also thank our media partners who helped to promote United Way Day at McDonalds.”

“Special thanks goes out to Missoula Mac for continuing this community-wide tradition,” said Jahns. “They truly care about our local neighbors in need.”
