David G. Lilyquist age 85 of 1293 Cty. JJ, Nekoosa, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Riverview Medical Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa. Rev. Dennis Schwalenberg will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10 AM – 11 AM. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.
David was born March 12, 1926 in Stevens Point to Ingvald and Estella (Swanson) Lilyquist. He married Frances House on October 8, 1946 in Evergreen, Alabama. She died September 22, 2003. David served in the US Navy from 1945 – 1947. He was employed by Nekoosa Papers, Inc. (Domtar) for 38 years.
David’s interests included fishing, reading, and gardening. He loved watching baseball and football and spending time with his cats, Oreo and Snickers. David was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
He is survived by: one daughter: Linda Applebee of Nekoosa
One granddaughter: Julie Applebee of Washington D.C.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 infant sons, Samuel and David, Jr., 4 brothers, George, Karl, Wilfred, and Wesley and 1 sister, Vera Bernico.
