Sharon F, Nelson, age 67, of 1241 18th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at her residence following a battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. John Grohs will officiate.
Sharon was born December 7, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Bernard and Mildred (Campbell) Haza. She married Gary M. Nelson on February 21, 2001. She was employed at Riverview Hospital for 11 years and later at Rainbow Casino for 12 years retiring in 2006.
Sharon was a member of the Homestead Golf Course Ladies Club and Bowlmor Senior League. She loved the family sheepshead games every Saturday and shot a hole-in-one at #8 at the Ridges.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Michael (Laura) Heitzinger of Wisconsin Rapids, WI ;stepson, Ryan Nelson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; stepdaughter, Jennifer Nelson of Los Angeles, Ca; grandchildren, Gregory Wirtz, Ryan Brown and Rhyne Brown; two sisters, Mary Lou (Francis) Eklund of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Jeanette Bohman of Marshfield, WI.
Sharon is also survived by sisters in law, Marnie Haza of Savannah, GA and Hazel Haza of The Villages, FL; and in laws, James (Karen) Nelson of Waterloo, WI, Richard (Joan) Nelson of Encinitas, CA, John Nelson of Greenwood, SC, David (Flaviana) Nelson of Jacksonville, FL Gayle Prusynski of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Donna (Maurice) Winch of Junction City, WI.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack Haza and Bernard Haza and sister, Joyce Rayome.
