Obituary of Richard Lorentzen

Richard F. Lorentzen, 85, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Richard was born December 9, 1925 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Fred and Mary (Glanzrock) Lorentzen.

He served his country in the US Marines during World War II, from 1944-1946 and worked as a site manager for RCA Institutes, Inc., A Service of Radio Corporation of America.

Richard was an avid golfer, who loved to read, and take an occasional deep sea fishing trip.

He is survived by two daughters: Lynn (Jeff) McCall of Plentywood, Montana and Rhonda (Mark) Wittenberg of Wisconsin Rapids; three grandchildren: Jennean McCall, Kristin (Matt) Sundin, and David Wittenberg; one great-granddaughter, Marley Sundin; one step-great-grandson, Dylan Sundin; and one brother, Robert Lorentzen of New Port Richey, Florida, many Nieces & Nephews, and two step brothers Russell and Raymond.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

Per Richard’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home are assisting the family.
