Wood County Energy Assistance Office will be taking applications in the Wisconsin Rapids area from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following dates:
*Dec. 7 – Wisconsin Rapids Courthouse Auditorium
*Dec. 13 – Wisconsin Rapids Courthouse Auditorium
*Jan. 4 – Wisconsin Rapids Courthouse Auditorium
*Jan. 10 – Wisconsin Rapids Courthouse Auditorium
*Jan. 18 – Aging and Disability Resource Center in Wisconsin Rapids
*Jan. 24 – Nekoosa Church of Christ (will accept applications beginning at 9:30 a.m.)
The outreach sites will accept applications of the first 100 people whose household is below 60 percent of the Wisconsin State Median Income.

The one time energy assistance payment is based on household income, number of rooms in the home, number of people in the household, type of fuel used and annual fuel usage.
What to bring when applying:
*Social Security cards for every person in the household
*Current fuel and electric bill
*Proof of income received in the past three months prior to application (this includes proof of wages, proof of Social Security, proof of SSI, proof of self-employment, proof of child support paid or received in the past three months, proof of dividends or interest for the past 12 months).
