Celiac support group to meet Jan. 17

The Celiac Support Group will meet Tuesday, January 17, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Water’s Edge Dining Room on the Lower Level of Riverview Medical Center, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids. The January meeting will be an open meeting, giving participants time to share tips and information with one another.

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been on a gluten-free diet for years, the Celiac Support Group will put you on the path to learning more about celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and gluten-free living, shopping, cooking and eating out. New members of all ages and their family members are welcome. No fee or registration is required.

The Celiac Support Group is facilitated by Lori Cesare, DTR, a Riverview Medical Center registered dietetic technician with more than six years of experience educating patients about gluten-free diets, and Jean Lobner, a Celiac Support Group member. The group meets the third Tuesday of every month (except June, July, August and December). For more information, please call 715-421-7446.
