Obituary of Joseph F. Kosek

Joseph F. Kosek, age 89, of 2810 27th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.

Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Bill Beaton will officiate. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park with military rites provided by VFW Post #2534.Visitation will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00-11:00 AM with a Masonic Lodge Service at 10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.

Joseph was born January 15, 1922 in the Town of Westboro, WI to Anton and Anna (Stanazick) Kosek. He married Loraine Bucher on October 5, 1946 in Medford, WI. Joseph was a millwright for Consolidated Papers Inc for 43 years retiring in 1989.

Joseph served in the U.S. Marines serving in the South Pacific from 1942-1946.He was a member of the VFW Post #2534 of Wisconsin Rapids; the Masonic Lodge in Wisconsin Rapids; the Shriners, the Eastern Star and served as a past officer of the White Shrine. Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and woodworking.

Joseph is survived by wife, Loraine; two sons, Joseph (Jan) Kosek of Manitowoc, WI and Daniel Kosek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; two grandchildren, Joseph Kip (Anne) Kosek and Koy Carlton Kosek; two great grandchildren, Elinor Ruth Kosek and Charlotte Rachel Kosek, one brother, Louis (Delores) Kosek of Wausau, WI and one sister, Rose Wyrostek of Chicago, IL.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents son, Mark Anthony Kosek, two brothers, Stanley and Frank and four sisters, Sophie, Josephine, Helen and Stephanie.
