Tom Anderson and his family

Anderson was honored for his work with the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial Park through Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Heroes Program. Anderson is a retired Firefighter Lieutenant and Paramedic who is also the president and one of the founders of the firefighter’s memorial. The idea of a memorial park started in 1994 as a vision Tom had shared with other area firefighters. Together they laid out plans to build a memorial park to honor firefighters for their service. Their vision came to life and has been built in stages over the last 7 years. The memorial has been built entirely on donations and is maintained by a rotating crew of 22 fire departments within Wisconsin. For more information, please visit www.wsfm.org.
