Obituary of Colleen “Coc” Goggins

Colleen “Coc” Goggins, 82, 710 4th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids, died late Friday, December 23, 2011 at her home.
A “Celebration of Life” memorial visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids.
Coc was born May 18, 1929 in Marshfield to the late Karl and Velva (Tuscher) Bremmer. She married Bernard H. Goggins on September 1, 1951. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Amy and Kelly.
During her life, Coc worked as an administrative assistant first at Wood County Bank, then at Wisconsin Valley Abstract and Title and finally with Wells Fargo Securities. For many years she volunteered with the Riverview Hospital Auxiliary, taking special joy participating in the Love Lights program.
Coc was a very social woman whose favorite place to spend time with friends was at the old Buzz’s Bar playing Texas Holdem’. She also enjoyed playing bingo and cards with others, and was an avid football fan supporting both the Badgers and the Packers.
Coc is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly (Patrick) Akkerman of Wisconsin Rapids; granddaughter, Megan Walker of Madison; brother, Charles Bremmer of Titusville, FL; and many more extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, daughter, Amy Lechner and brothers, Jerold and Karl Bremmer Jr.
