David R. Lawrence, age 75, of 1009 West Third Street, Nekoosa died Friday December 23, 2011 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
David was born December 7, 1936 in Chicago to John and Nettie (Nickle) Lawrence. He served in the US Army during the Korean War .David married Patricia DeYoung on May 22, 1965 in Chicago. He was a truck driver for Dayton Freight of Wisconsin Rapids and previously owned and operated his own truck for North American Van Lines. David was also formerly employed by Hollymatic Corporation in Park Forest, IL and by Union Carbide in Argo, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters.
