Obituary of Eugene Davis

Eugene Davis, 69, 110 16th Street No., Wisconsin Rapids, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Riverview Hospital.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home. Rev. Nathan Byes will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

Eugene was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 29, 1942 to Lilburn and Fern (Voight) Davis. His first marriage to Penny Schider ended in divorce. He married Carol Vaughn on November 11, 1978 in Wisconsin Rapids. Carol died on July 26, 2009.
Eugene was employed at Alexander Airport in Wisconsin Rapids as the maintenance person.
He served his country in the Army.
Eugene enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, building birdhouses and visiting the casino in his free time.
Survivors include his 4 children: Shawn, Penny, Tammy and Nina; 4 step daughters: Victoria Griffith, Auburn, Illinois; Linda Frye, Wisconsin Rapids; Melody (Robert) Werner, Port Edwards; Yvonne (Jack) Werner, Virden, Illinois; 2 stepsons: Marvin (Kimberly) Frye, Waupaca; Darrin (Patricia) Frye of Reedsburg; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; sisters: Sandy (Al) Hobart, Port Edwards; Cathy Kiefer; and Yvonne Flath, Waukesha; brothers: Richard (Doris) Davis, Milwaukee; Donald (Karen) Davis, Haiti. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; son, Troy; sister, Barbara Carroll and 2 brothers-in-law, Dick Flath and Tony Kiefer.
Friends may call at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home from 9:00 am until the time of services on Friday.
