Port Edwards Education Foundation Board President Ed Heuer was recently informed by Pat Sullivan, Superintendent of the Port Edwards School District, that the foundation has been invited to address the Wisconsin Association of School Boards annual conference Jan. 25 in Milwaukee.
“This is an outstanding opportunity to display our successes to school board members and administrators from all districts across the State of Wisconsin. The annual generosity of donors has provided opportunities for us to sponsor numerous student enrichment projects in our 15 year history and gives us state-wide recognition,” Heuer said to the Foundation Board according to the press release.
He also thanked Sullivan for scheduling the invitation.
Representing Port Edwards Education Foundation at the event will be Board members Karen Isaacson, Karen Thiel, Superintendent Sullivan, and School District Business Manager Marcia Sawyer. Their presentation will include forming an organization of this type, its history and board membership, grant development, and raising funds.
