Obituary of Robert ‘Bob’ William Ryan Jr.

Robert ‘Bob’ William Ryan Jr., 64, of 1970 Lincoln Street, Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Friday evening, January 13, 2012 at the Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, after a short, but gallant battle with cancer.
Bob was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Robert William Ryan and Edith (Oberhafer) Ryan November 20, 1947. He was raised in Linbrook, New York. He attended St. Agnes High School, class of 1965, and the University of Vermont and the State University at Farmingdale, New York.
Bob was an Eagle Scout and actively worked with Boy Scouts of America until the last two years of his life. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1966 through 1969, serving in the 101st Airborne Division during the Viet Nam War.

He leaves behind a son, Patrick Ryan; a brother, Richard Ryan; mother Edith Ryan (99 years young); and in his own words: “The best thing that ever happened to me”, his wife Juanita Parker Ryan; and many family members and friends.
It was Bob’s wish and desire to be cremated and laid to rest alongside his beloved father at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. Family will be present and friends are welcome to attend.
Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
