Obituary of Alice M. Tomsyck

Alice M. Tomsyck, age 89, of Harmony Living Center Stevens Point, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids passed peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday January 24, 2012 at St. Michael’s Hospital Stevens Point.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Welles will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Alice was born November 10, 1922 in Wisconsin Rapids to Paul and Kathryn (Zimmerman) Herman. She married James Tomsyck on August 6, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died May 30, 2005 after 55 years of marriage. Alice was a homemaker. She was previously employed at Woolworth’s and Woolco Department Stores in Wis. Rapids. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and cooking.

                                Terry (Mary Beth) Tomsyck of Stevens Point

                                Mary (John) Conrardy of Burlington

                Four Grand-Children:         Mark (Kristin) Tomsyck, Amy Tomsyck, Katie Tomsyck and                                                 Bennett Conrardy

                Two Great-Grand Children:        Nolan and Callen Tomsyck

                

                Further survived by her sister, Dorothy (Harold) Corner of Wisconsin Rapids, Sisters-in-                        law Janice Tomsyck, Grace Tomsyck and Josephine Herman,  Brother in law                                 Raymond Tomsyck and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Clarence (and his wife Catherine) Herman and George Herman; in-laws Alex and Anne  Tomsyck, Harold and Pearl Becker, Lawrence Tomsyck, Chester Tomsyck, Pat Tomsyck, Alex Tomsyck, Jr. and Betty Jane Tomsyck.
