Big Brothers Big Sisters’ new After-School Arts Program, a.s.a.p., will offer students a safe, healthy environment with snack, study time, creative projects, educational support, and fun physical activities. The primary focus of a.s.a.p. activities will focus on the arts such as, music, dance, culinary, and art projects.
Wisconsin Rapids Junior High students of all faiths are welcome to take part in the program that will run through the end of the school year.
A small fee of $10 to cover the cost of supplies, will be asked from each student, however, scholarships will be available upon request.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood County will host an a.s.a.p. Open House on Feb. 14 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the United Methodist Church on Garfield Street.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking volunteers to provide assistance with program activities. Interested volunteers can contact Lisa at 715-387-6198.
