Local students receive honors from colleges

Concordia University

Concordia University Wisconsin officials released the Fall Dean’s List for the first semester of 2011-2012 academic year. To be eligible for the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.50 GPA.

Among the area students named to the list was:

Ashlyn Burr of Wisconsin Rapids. Burr is a senior at Concordia Unviersity and is majoring in Early Childhood Education.

Founded in 1881, Concordia University Wisconsin, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, offers 49 undergraduate majors and is affiliated with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The school is located on 155 acres of Lake Michigan shoreline, only 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee.

University of Dubuque

The University of Dubuque congratulates the following students on being appointed to the Fall Semester 2011 Academic Dean’s List:

Megan Bohn of Port Edwards.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for that semester.

The University of Dubuque, founded in 1852, is a private, coeducational, professional University with a focus in the liberal arts.

University of Minnesota – Twin Cities

The following area students have made the dean’s list for the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus 2011 Fall Semester.

Students on the list all achieved a grade point average of 3.66 or higher while taking 12 or more credits.
